This is a fun game for two where you pop each other’s hypothetical “hot dog” balloons.
Materials Required:
- Paper
- Pencils
Instructions:
This is a fun game for two where you pop each other’s hypothetical “hot dog” balloons.
Take four sheets of paper and draw four identical ten-square-by-ten-square grids, labeled with letters for the columns and numbers for the rows.
Each player gets two grids.
Each grid represents a square of air – one for the player’s own balloons, and one for his or her guesses about the other person’s balloons.
Before play starts, each player positions the balloons by putting X’s in various squares.
Each player must use: one balloon that is five squares in length; two that are four squares in length, three that are three squares in length; and two that are two squares in length. (No, the balloons can’t turn corners or bend on the diagonal!)
The first player lets fly with an arrow: “A4.”
The other must respond with either “Hit” or “Miss.” (One arrow hit does in any balloon.)
All of a player’s shots are recorded on his second grid.
Play alternates until one player sees his final balloon burst – until the next game!
